The team is still in staged at Mactan airbase with our partners from Medical Teams International (MTI) and the International Medical Corps (IMC), waiting for our departure. We wanted to take a quick moment and let you know who is going where.  Heading to Tacloban will be: Julieta Gabiola, MD, Ian Brown, MD, Barbie Barrett, MD, Terry Wieske, RN, Kim Woolley, LCSW, Brandon Bond, EMT

The group going to Guiuan will include: Colin Bucks, MD, Linda Jordan, Julie Racioppi, RN, PA Joselinda Landon, RN.

We are slated to fly on Korean C-130’s given the dynamics of the situation the Crew Chief’s on the planes are always working the balance of the equipment vs. personnel on each flight.  That being said there is a possibility that we will not be able to take all of the medical supplies in this morning, however we learned that one of the Crew Chief’s is a Stanford Graduate so we are hopeful that they will take all of the equipment in!  Go Cardinal!

We will do our best to keep you posted over the next few days however we are going to have very limited access to wifi.

  2. Good to hear that you are in a safe place. I will stay posted via the blog. Let us know what you see as the most needed. I am collecting medical supplies on this end for a crew to go out in 2 weeks.
